- And yeah, I am still sending this post out on a Saturday :)
Friday rules
Greetings to The Ramen Bowl crew!
The end of the week is a moment for many of us to finally sit back and relax. We have plenty more time to dedicate to ourselves, personal hobbies, and what we enjoy the most.
It is also that moment where most people just get their time right to finally experiment with those recipes they have in mind, but never find a sweet spot for experimenting with new dishes.
With that in mind, starting next week, rather than posting on Wednesdays I will now publish on Fridays.
Planning matters
If I’d be writing about daily job-related issues and motivation, I would try to publish first thing in the morning on weekdays. Habits are as important as schedules when it comes to deciding when to execute something, including reading.
I expect my posts to be read for fun, inspiration, or even just cause you’re hungry and need that dose of food pictures.
I know many people just “do not find the time to cook”. Well, while that’s arguably just a matter of priorities, I get it. Being able to focus on something that requires much time, such as cooking, learning new skills, and experimenting with recipes, is not easy if that’s not one of your main pursuits.
That is a reason why we need to schedule.
With a full-time job, some other side projects, and well… even a little social life, I sometimes find it difficult to spend much time cooking, too.
And I believe it’s fine. We’re not professionals (yet, maybe?).
So how do I actually fill a backlog of original recipes, enriched with stories and pictures?
I simply try to plan it in advance.
As much as I like planning to go to a party on Friday night, I usually plan to have a Sunday morning free for myself to experiment with a new recipe. Sometimes I cook something for my friends, other times I just sit back and read (oh yes, I read many other newsletters too, that’s part of the game! Go check some of my Recommendations).
I usually plan as far as one week in advance. I will have all the time to clear my mind and buy the stuff I need while I do my usual weekly grocery shopping.
Now, having posts nearer to the weekend, I hope many of you will be able to get to try new recipes in the same way I do.
Happy slurp!

That is often my excuse - not enough time. This weekend I’m hoping to make time to try some new cookie recipes.
Planning and routine; a recurring theme I am missing!
